DIY Oversized Turtleneck using #S8738

Inspired by fall colors I was shopping for fabric on Ebay. I was specifically looking for a mustard knit. This gorgeous knit fabric came up listed as dark mustard, logan thinks it looks a bit more pumpkin and I may agree with him. Either way I really love that the neutral tone will go with everything in my closet.

For my pattern I used Simplicity 8738. I cut out view B which has the option of thumb holes, I opted out of adding those. I debated between the size extra small and small. I ultimately cut out the size small, but the extra small may have been better. This sweater tunic is more oversized than I expected but as you’ll see in the images below, I still love wearing it.

Enjoying a cup of tea while I cut out my pattern pieces.

Tucked up like the outfit above, or worn like a tunic in the outfit below, this sweater will be a versatile addition to my wardrobe.
