    Hi everybody! The second blog post this week featuring thrift store fabric! Much wow. This pastel fabric was one I found when I purchased the red dress material from my last post. I always seem to have good luck finding fabrics 😉 or they find me. The pastel fabric only had about 1 1/2 yd. There was a lot I wanted to make with this fabric. However, the size and the sheerness stopped me from going too crazy. Looking through my patterns I opted to go with a Mimi G Style #s8655.     Red dress set #s8635

    Hi everybody! I’m doing a bit of summery sew my stash to use up some of these wonderful fabrics I’ve been hoarding. The red fabric was another thrift store find, can’t beat the price! And surprisingly my thrift store fabrics have been equally as nice as the materials I pick up in traditional fabric stores. Bright red isn’t a color I own a lot of, unless its red lipstick then Im down. So when I picked this fabric up I immediately thought of simplicity 8635.     White summer skirt DIY midi

    Hi everybody! For this project I found the fabric, a shirred white cotton, at the thrift store. After buying it (and a good wash) I was inspired to make a skirt. The design of the skirt is very simple, I didn’t use a pattern just my measurements. I measured around my hips (at my widest point) and added an allowance of 3in. To measure the length I started at my waist, the top point where I wanted my skirt to sit, and measured down to mid calf area, also adding 3in.
